Zilla is a character in The Testaments. She is a Martha in the service of Commander Kyle, along with Rosa and Vera.

In the Bible, Zillah is one of the two wives of Lamech, a sixth-generation descendant of Cain.
Story[]
Zilla was Agnes's favorite Martha, and used to bake her cookies.
After the death of her first mistress, Tabitha, Commander Kyle remarried to Paula Saunders. Paula put out the story that Tabitha had forcibly adopted Agnes from her birth mother, which Agnes learned of through her friend Shunammite. Agnes asked Zilla about this, who explained that her birth mother was likely taken to the Red Center to become a Handmaid.
