In the Present Edit
June is tasked by Alma with recovering a package from Jezebel's for Mayday. Although she initially fails to get the package, a butcher working for the resistance eventually passes the package on to her.
When June opens it, it contains a large number of letters written in secrecy by Handmaids. Maria is the author of one of these letters, in which she reveals her name, that she was captured outside of Hartford, Connecticut on December 2nd along with her five-year old son Spencer, and that she has been a Handmaid in three separate households.
