Emma Monroe is a minor character in the first season of the TV Series. She is the Wife of Commander Daniel Monroe, to whom Janine is reassigned from Commander Putnam.

"The Bridge"[]
The Monroes attempt to conduct the Ceremony with their new handmaid Janine (Ofdaniel). Janine, however, is experiencing severe difficulties adjusting to both her new surroundings and the loss of her daughter to Commander Putnam and his wife, and pushes Daniel away, reverting to a child-like state and insisting that "he" (Warren) is coming for her.
