Commander Grinnel is a recurring character in the second season of the TV Series. He serves as a Commander in the Republic of Gilead, as well as (presumably) being a member of the Sons of Jacob.

In the Present Edit

Season Two Edit

"The Last Ceremony" Edit

Commander Grinnel is present at the Waterfords' home after June goes into (false) labour. He congratulates Commander Waterford on the occasion and comments that his own Handmaid will soon be leaving his household, having failed to fall pregnant during her assignment. He dismissively comments that "she wasn't that much fun to begin with" and asks after June. When Waterford replies that she "has proven fruitful," Grinnel suggests that he finds her attractive, implying he might be interested in having June assigned to him after the birth.

"Postpartum" Edit

Grinnel is present in Waterford's new office alongside Commander Horace. When Waterford faintly protests that the office is too extravagant for him, Grinnel points out that since he is now in charge of media expansion, he'll need as much room as possible to work in. He and Horace quickly leave the room as Nick arrives with the Waterfords new family portrait.
