Alanis is a petite, well put together woman who often wears fancy or nice clothing. She has straight red hair that she often wears pulled back into a bun.
Personality[]
Alanis at first is seemingly very open and friendly. However, she is power-hungry and as time goes on she becomes more and more bitter and rude towards Serena. She likes to be the dominant one in control.

Season Five[]
Ryan Wheeler and his wife Alanis accomodate Serena Waterford in their house, after a close-down of the Gilead Information Center. Alanis is initially thrilled to have a pregnant Serena in the house. Over time, she starts to treat her more and more like a handmaid, letting Serena know that she has no status in Canada and is a guest in their home.
After Serena runs away and gives birth to Noah, she gets detained by the Canadian police. Alanis fosters Noah after Serena gives birth to him and she tries to use the "cry method" to raise him, against Serena's approval. Alanis visits Serena in jail to get bottled milk and eventually lets her back into their home to help nurse Noah. Alanis is furious with Serena when she goes behind her back to ask Mr. Wheeler for permission to attend the fertility clinic opening day.
